MP3, which stands for "MPEG 1 layer 3", is a new, highly efficient procedure for digitally stored music compression and is the Internet-used standard. The MP3 player is a small portable device for playing back music files, which have been saved in the MP3 format. Music from normal CDs can be converted, however, into the MP3 format. After data reduction with MP3 you will increase your music storage capacity more than ten times as opposed to the usual WAV format.
The Daisy MP3 player is available in a version with USB interface, which enables data transmission many times faster than a parallel port connection. In order to guarantee maximum flexibility, the music files are not stored in a built-in hard disk, but on replaceable storage cards - Compact Flash Cards. This feature allows several advantages:
